I understand that it seems like there’s no point in trying if you think you’re going to fail and I’ve totally been in situations where I have not done something because I knew it wouldn’t turn out the way I wanted.
But it doesn’t matter if you “win or lose.” That’s not really the point.
The point is learning new things on your little journey and figuring out new things about yourself and the people around you. If you fail, so what? It happens. But it shouldn’t discourage you from getting back up and trying again.
If you never get back up you’ll stay down and never have the confidence to try new things. I was that way for the longest time and I regret it. Now, even if I fail at something, I don’t get upset. I always find something to help give it a positive outcome - a learning experience.
I know it seems easy to just not do it, but if you don’t, you’ll never learn.
